These Subscription Terms and Conditions govern your purchase and use of any paid subscription to premium content and features offered by The Philadelphia Post-Intelligencer (the “Service”) through the website at https://thephillypi.com/.

These terms supplement, and are incorporated into, the main Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy of The Philadelphia Post-Intelligencer.


1. Subscription Types and Enrollment

A. Subscription Offering

B. Acceptance

C. Free Trials and Promotions

Once the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically convert to the paid plan selected at enrollment, and your payment method will be charged, unless you cancel the subscription before the end of the trial period.


2. Pricing and Payment

A. Pricing

All subscription fees are stated in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise noted. We reserve the right to adjust pricing for the Service, including increasing the price of an existing subscription, effective upon reasonable prior notice to you.

B. Billing Cycle

The subscription fee will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis (the “Billing Cycle”). The Billing Cycle is determined by the subscription plan you select (e.g., monthly or annually).

C. Recurring Billing (Automatic Renewal)

All subscriptions are automatically renewed unless you cancel your subscription before the end of the current Billing Cycle. You authorize us (without further notice, unless required by applicable law) to charge the current renewal rate, plus any applicable taxes, using the payment method we have on file for you.

D. Payment Method

You must provide a current, valid, accepted method of payment. You agree to promptly update your account and payment information, including email address and payment method details, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed. If a charge is not successfully settled due to expiration, insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not promptly update your payment method, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service.


3. Cancellations and Refunds

A. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel, please follow the instructions in your account settings on the Service or contact customer support.

Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current Billing Cycle. You will continue to have access to the subscription features until the end of that period, and you will not be charged for the next Billing Cycle.

B. Refund Policy (No Refunds)

Generally, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription period, or for content that you have not used.

  • Exception for Billing Errors: If you believe you have been billed in error, you must contact us within sixty (60) days of the billing date.

C. Termination by The Philly PI

We may terminate or suspend your subscription immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach the Terms of Use, these Subscription Terms, or for any conduct we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to the Service or other users. If we terminate your subscription for breach, you will not be entitled to a refund.


4. Changes to Service and Content

We reserve the right to change, add, or remove features or content from our Service at any time. While we strive to maintain consistent service, we do not guarantee the perpetual availability of any specific content or feature and will not offer refunds for minor changes to the Service features or content library.
