DISASTER MERGER: Inside the New Political Party That Just Cannibalized Itself

The ‘Your Party’ Conference in Liverpool was meant to fuse old-school socialism with woke progressivism. Instead, it became a spectacular live-action demonstration of why these two radical ideologies are completely out of touch with modern Britain.

A Tragedy, Then a Farce, Now… Utter Absurdity

In 1852, Karl Marx famously wrote that history repeats itself, “first as tragedy, then as farce.”

For veteran political observers, the rise and fall of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was a political tragedy—a brief, bruising flirtation with atavistic socialism that ended in a crushing 2020 election defeat.

The recent launch and chaotic first conference of the Your Party in Liverpool? That wasn’t just a farce. It was a digital-age political absurdity, complete with ideological civil war, a non-leader, and a policy platform that defies reality.

The Unholy Alliance: Corbyn Meets Sultana

Your Party was co-founded earlier this year by two refugees from the centrist UK Labour Party:

  • Jeremy Corbyn: The old-style, Bennite revolutionary socialist.
  • Zarah Sultana: The progressive leftist firebrand, known for her fervent embrace of “woke” elite ideologies.

The goal? To fuse these two disruptive forces, attract working-class votes, and implement a revolutionary political program.

The Reality Check: The partnership was doomed from the start. Corbyn’s brand of 1980s socialism was long ago rejected by the Labour Party and, crucially, by the British working class (who now largely favor “levelling up” conservatism or the right-wing populism of Nigel Farage’s Reform Party).

Sultana’s priorities—specifically open borders and transgender rights—have never garnered traction with the economically displaced voters Your Party desperately needs.

Live-Action Ideological Clash at the Conference

The internal tensions exploded into open warfare on day one in Liverpool. Attended by a reported 2,500 delegates (many from obscure left-wing sects and activist groups), the conference quickly devolved into a fight over the party’s soul—and structure.

IssueJeremy Corbyn’s StanceZarah Sultana’s StanceOutcome
Party StructureWanted a traditional structure with a strong leader (presumably himself).Wanted the party directly answerable to the membership, ruled by an elected committee.Sultana won. Motions passed supporting a committee structure.
The ResultCorbyn was effectively sidelined from the party he co-founded. He spoke on Day 1, but Sultana boycotted his session.

On Day 2, Sultana returned to deliver an “extraordinary speech” detailing the party’s program. In a sign of his complete political misjudgment, Corbyn applauded and endorsed the entire, extreme platform.

The Manifesto of ‘Magical Thinking’

Sultana’s political program, now officially endorsed by Your Party, is a utopian blend of socialist nationalization and woke extremism. It is not just radical; it’s considered undeliverable and completely unrealistic by political analysts.

TOP 5 MOST SHOCKING POLICIES:

  1. Mass Nationalization: Water, energy, transport, communications, banking, finance, food, and construction industries.
  2. Abolition: Complete dissolution of the Monarchy.
  3. Open Borders: A policy that has zero support among working-class voters.
  4. Foreign Policy Extremism: Shutting down the Israeli Embassy and pushing for the abolition of Israel to create a single state in Palestine.
  5. Legal Persecution: Demanding Keir Starmer and other Labour figures be prosecuted at the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes.

Quote Check: When Michael Foot’s socialist agenda lost the 1983 election, it was famously dubbed “the longest political suicide note in British political history.” Compared to Sultana’s platform, Foot’s appears “a model of rationality and common sense.”

The Fundamental Flaw

The entire ‘Your Party’ project rests on one disproven assumption: that the working class is a revolutionary political agent waiting to be activated.

Sultana’s “rainbow coalition” of working-class people, pensioners, migrants, and trans/gay people does not constitute a unified voting bloc, much less a revolutionary force.

The Liverpool conference proved that Corbynite socialism and progressive leftism are politically incompatible and no longer viable ideologies in the West. They are two passengers overboard, clutching at each other only to ensure their collective political drowning.

The future of UK politics is locked between mainstream social democracy and rapidly growing right-wing populism. Your Party, with its “utterly irrational and undeliverable program,” has simply guaranteed its consignment to the dustbin of history.
