In a historic shift of the current conflict, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) has launched a precision strike on the Bandar Anzali naval base. This marks the first time Israeli operations have reached the Caspian Sea, successfully targeting Iran’s Northern Fleet.
According to official statements, the raid decimated several high-value assets, including:
- The Deylaman Frigate: A modern Moudge-class vessel.
- Missile Ships & Patrol Boats: Multiple auxiliary and combat craft.
- Strategic Infrastructure: The Northern Fleet headquarters and a major shipbuilding plant.

Analysts suggest this strike disrupts a critical supply corridor between Tehran and Moscow. By neutralizing these northern assets, Israel has significantly degraded Iran’s maritime command and control beyond the Persian Gulf.
Update

The aftermath of a massive Israeli strike late on March 18 on the main base of the Iranian Navy in the Caspian Sea in Bandar Anzeli. As far as you can see, this photo shows two destroyed Sina-type missile boats and, in my opinion, the Hamzeh missile ship is the former Shah’s yacht Shahsavar built in 1936, which after the revolution was turned into a warship and then armed with four anti-ship missiles.
