() — Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Alex Call took to social media to urge Major League Baseball (MLB) and the TV networks carrying this year’s postseason games to ban what amounts to “soft porn” commercials during their broadcasts.
“Can we please get the soft porn ads off playoff broadcasts, TBS, Fox, NBC, MLB?” Call asked on X.
Call was referring to MLB commercials featuring nearly nude women, including Megan Fox and Sydney Sweeney.
“My son wants to watch baseball with Dada, but how do I justify that when a half-naked woman could come on screen anytime??” he wondered.
“This is America’s Pastime. Parents shouldn’t have to worry about this,” the Dodgers outfielder declared.

Front Office Sports reposted Call’s plea on X. Together, the two viral posts have garnered five million views and tens of thousands of likes.
Call’s post was a response to baseball fan Taylor Murphy, who told MLB that if it wants to get more kids watching baseball, “Maybe start with the commercials.”
Murphy explained the reason for his concern:
Watching the playoffs tonight with my kids and here’s the rundown:
– Megan Fox selling ED pills in a red bodysuit
– The scariest movie trailer you’ve ever seen
– Sydney Sweeney in zero clothes promoting betting on sports
“Leagues can’t figure out why kids don’t watch,” Murphy continued.
“You don’t need a Nickelodeon game. You’re not the Savannah Bananas,” the concerned dad said. “Just show baseball in a way I can leave on in my house.”

Earlier this year, Call was one of the few MLB players — and one of just two Dodgers team members — who refused to wear a rainbow “Pride cap” on “Pride Night.”
