Recent footage shows an F/A-18E/F Super Hornet from the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) conducting high-speed, low-altitude maneuvers near the city of Dezful, just miles from the Iraqi border.
These “dashing” low-level flights serve as a bold demonstration of American air supremacy, following the systematic suppression of Iran’s heavy radar-guided air defense networks. However, military analysts warn that “flying freely” at low altitudes exposes even the most advanced strike fighters to the “Sambush”—a Surface-to-Air Missile Ambush.

Despite the “flattened” state of Iran’s strategic defenses, mobile and passive systems remain a lethal wildcard:
