‘Epic fatherhood fail’: Maryland Gov. Wes Moore would let 14-year-old son undergo sex change

(LifeSiteNews) — In a troubling display of extreme virtue signaling, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, a top contender for the 2028 Democrat presidential nomination, said that he would allow his young teenage son to “transition” if that’s what he wanted to do.

Podcast interviewer Patrick Bet-David asked Moore, “Would you advise him to wait until he’s 18?”

“If this is how he is feeling and I feel like I am closely tied to him, I’m not going to advise him on something that he feels is right,” Moore said.

Stunned by the governor’s response, David asked, “At 14 years old, Wes?”

“There is a 0% chance (Gov. Moore) believes this,” radio host Clay Travis suggested. “But this is how insane the Democrat Party is.”

“The Democratic Party has no moral compass,” observed Ryan Bomberger, president of the faith-based, life-affirming Radiance Foundation. “The thought that any child’s emotion must be validated is insane. Children’s feelings are often contrary to reality. That’s WHY they have parents to help guide them, not genitally mutilate them.”

Bomberger called Gov. Moore’s statement his “Epic fatherhood fail.”

“I will partner with him (if he were to castrate himself)” if as a MINOR his son becomes “transgender,” noted Dan Cox, a 2026 Republican candidate for Maryland governor, paraphrasing Moore.

“INSANELY EVIL TO DO THIS TO ANY MINOR CHILD,” declared Cox.

“To sum it all up, Moore could not be more wrong if he tried, and it is totally deranged and immoral to medically or socially transition a minor, no matter how much they claim to feel the opposite gender,” Madison W explained in a Louder with Crowder commentary. “Don’t know why the left finds this so controversial, but to claim they are on the wrong side of history would be an understatement.”
