(LifeSiteNews) — Canada’s federal government under Prime Minister Mark Carney declined to release the full text of a secret policing agreement between the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and authorities in the People’s Republic of China.
Conservative MP John Williamson had submitted an Order Paper Question in March asking if the government was planning to table “the full text of the Memorandum of Understanding in Parliament or releasing it publicly,” and if not, “why.”
The response confirmed that a 2026 memorandum of understanding between the RCMP and Communist China includes an “exchange of information,” “investigative assistance,” and “training,” including coordination with other “domestic law enforcement agencies.”
However, the federal government said that because the deal will not be tabled before Parliament or released to the public it will “require confidentiality.”
The reality in Canada today is that the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) tentacles in Canada run deep.
In December 2023, LifeSiteNews reported that it was confirmed to MPs that the CCP operated police “stations” in multiple locations in Canada that allegedly serve to target its citizens abroad. No one has been held accountable yet for allowing this to happen.
Despite this, Williamson’s Order Paper remains unanswered, and the federal government admitted that the policing deal with China allows information sharing.
Williamson’s Order Paper also asked about the nature of the consultations before the agreement was signed, but the government did not give specific answers, only saying that, as the information is not tracked, releasing it would lead to “incomplete and misleading information.”
The Liberal government under Carney has established cozy relations with China. Indeed, Carney was recently in China, where he said Canada’s relationship with China is more “predictable” than with the U.S. under President Donald Trump.
He also made a deal with China related to Canadian agricultural products such as canola while trying to get tariffs removed. In exchange, Canada agreed to drop massive tariffs on Chinese-made EVs and import thousands of them next year.
Recently, a former Canadian intelligence officer directly warned Canadian MPs that Chinese cars, notably electric ones, pose a risk to the nation’s electrical grid and are a direct surveillance threat.
LifeSiteNews also reported on an exposé that Carney and former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are influenced by an “elite network” of foreign actors, including those with ties to China and the World Economic Forum.
