Louvre theft ‘humiliation’ for France

The theft that passed off on the iconic Louvre Museum on Sunday is an “intolerable humiliation” for France, president of the right-wing National Rally social gathering Jordan Bardella has stated.

Earlier on Sunday, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez described the theft as a “very professional” operation, emphasizing that the stolen gadgets have “inestimable heritage value.” Culture Minister Rachida Dati stated no accidents had been reported and that investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, the gear used for the break-in, and interviewing workers.

The Apollon Gallery has housed what stays of the French Crown Jewels because the late nineteenth century, together with gadgets previously belonging to Napoleon’s household and Empress Eugenie.
