After a bizarre pre-release period where review codes were reportedly withheld from critics, the truth is finally out: the VR transition for this Xbox 360-era classic is struggling with significant performance and polish issues.

Veteran players who “absolutely loved” the original are finding themselves torn between nostalgia and the reality of a “clumsily produced” port. While the magic of stepping into the boots of the main character remains, the technical execution on platforms like PSVR2 is reportedly failing to meet modern standards.
